In "Gladis Baker, Gladiator," a heartwarming musical set in Ancient Rome, we follow the story of Gladis Farina, a talented yet overworked baker working in her greedy relatives' bakery. Alongside her brother Precarious and under the harsh rule of her aunt Caustica and uncle Billius, Gladis dreams of freedom and fair pricing for her delicious bakes. Her journey takes an exciting turn when the Emperor Pompous Maximus Caesar and his wife Media Influencer announce the First Great Roman Bake Off in response to public unrest over food prices. Gladis, with the support of her friend Marcus and the local community, enters the contest secretly, defying her aunt and uncle’s greed.
